The Professional BusinessWomen of California (PBWC) today announced the appointment of Debbie Gisonni as Chief Executive Officer to dramatically improve the standing of women in corporate America. Gisonni brings over 20 years combined experience in corporate executive roles, nonprofit leadership and independent consulting across diverse industries. At the height of the Internet revolution, Gisonni was the publishing director for InternetWeek and Network Computing magazines. Most recently, she served as President and CEO at Stillheart Institute, an overnight, educational retreat center for public and corporate groups. At PBWC, Gisonni will oversee business strategy, operations, programming, sponsor relations and member engagement.

“This is a crucial time for women in business. While there have been several notable advances for women in the boardroom, issues such as equality, leadership, inclusivity and femininity are all still on the table for discussion,” said Debbie Gisonni. “There are four generations of women in the workplace, along with other essential voices such as people of color and the LBGTQA community, who all want to change the game, improve access to opportunity and connect on a global level.”

Gisonni holds a B.S. in Business Administration and certifications in Integrative Health Coaching and Hypnotherapy. She is the author of three books, a featured blog contributor to the Huffington Post and a sought-after motivational speaker.
