Having a Career While Protecting Your Health

A Mindful Approach to Self-Care

Happiness, emotional intelligence and resiliency are not simply dependent on a person’s genes.  They are a set of skills that can be taught, and, with practice, developed over time. The bulk of what determines life and work satisfaction is one’s thoughts, actions, and behaviors.  Gyll Turteltaub highlighted the evidence supporting the relationship between mindfulness, emotional wellbeing and health outcomes.   Participants engaged in a mindful exercise and will learn practical strategies for increasing emotional intelligence, resiliency, and cultivating happiness.
