Rachel Paras
Rachel Paras is the Executive Director of Oasis for Girls where she brings a wealth of experience in youth programming and development. Previously Ms. Paras was a unit director at the Mid-Peninsula Boys and Girls Club in San Mateo. She also served as the girls' day coordinator and program director for South Hayward's Intel Computer Clubhouse. Ms. Paras attributes her youth development career to the members of Project PULL Academy, a summer leadership challenge and college preview for Pilipino American high school students, where she was a founding team member and the summer 2000 Program Director. In addition, she implemented a community based, art and technology program for youth at Brown University's Swearer Center for Public Service in Providence, Rhode Island. Ms. Paras has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley and holds a Master in Public Administration degree from the University of Southern California.
