EMMY-AWARD WINNING ACTRESS, UGLY BETTY TELEVISION SERIES

America Ferrera is best known for her fearless portrayal of “Betty Suarez” on ABC television’s hit comedy Ugly Betty, a role that earned her an Emmy, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award, as well as American Latino Media Arts and Imagen awards.  She has also appeared in the films Real Women Have Curves, Lords of Dogtown, How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer, Under the Same Moon, both adaptations of The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, How to Train Your Dragon and The Dry Land.  Ferrera serves as artist ambassador for Save the Children and was the recipient of the 2010 Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s Inspira Award, the 2011 Global Action Award for Childhood Development and Education and the 2011 Cesar E. Chavez Legacy Award.
