MentorNet,
the national electronic industrial mentoring network for women in engineering and science pairs undergraduate and graduate women studying engineering and related sciences with mentors in industry via e-mail, providing on-line information, applications, matching of mentors with students, training, coaching and ongoing communications, and evaluation. In its pilot semester, MentorNet matched just over 200 students with mentors; in 1998-99, 539 students from 26 universities were matched with mentors. For the 2000-2001 academic year, MentorNet matched 2,000 students from 70 campuses, including Stanford, Berkeley, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, Georgia Tech, CalPoly, Purdue, Penn State, Texas A&M, Princeton, Dartmouth, and the Universities of Colorado, Michigan, Illinois, Southern California, and Texas, among others, with further growth expected in each subsequent year.

We offer networking and professional development programs for our members as well as career guidance activities for girls and women to stimulate and sustain interest in engineering careers.
