Kimberly is currently employed by Microsoft Corporation as their Business Development Manager where she has spent the last year and a half developing program and relationships to further Microsoft's image and product sales into the small business, corporate account and educational markets, and the VAR (value added reseller) channel.
Most notably, she has championed team efforts in the area of gender and culturally oriented markets, implemented practices that have been nationally recognized and is leading the region in quota attainment. Kimberly is committed to developing the careers of her team through mentoring and education, and as a result, has had many team members promoted within the company. She has initiated a number of charitable contribution programs, elevating the sense of community responsibility at Microsoft. Both Kimberly and her husband Rick, are devoted to their active two year old daughter and new baby, a son, born in June. She balances a challenging professional career with nurturing and supporting her young family. Her organizational skills, time management skills and ability to priortize the sometimes conflicting activities allow her to achieve this balance.
Kimberly is a graduate of UC Davis, and holds a degree in Home Economics. She has been in the computer industry for the last sixteen years. Prior to Microsoft, she held various sales and management positions with Borland International, GRID Systems Corporation - the inventor of the laptop computer - and Savin Corporation, the copier company.
Kimberly has won awards at GRID Systems for National Sales Representative of the Year in 1987; National Service Representative of the Year, 1988; Branch Manager of the Year Western Region, 1988 and District Manager of the Year, Western Region, 1989. She qualified for every President Club Award for 5 years in a row at Savin. Personal interests include reading and swimming. She has competed in numerous triathlons and the San Francisco Marathon.
She loves travel and has gone around the world with her sister and women's club. She is active in her own neighborhood community; she participates in a mother's group and is a role model for young female adolescents.
