Selecting Health Care Coverage
- Does the plan allow yearly, age appropriate, preventive health
exams and lab tests including pap smears and mammograms?
- Does the basic benefit package provide the full range of
reproductive health care services?
- Are all FDA-approved contraceptive methods and devices included
in the pharmaceutical package?
- Does the plan include full pregnancy related services without a
waiting period?
- Does the plan allow for medically safe hospital stays after
delivery, hysterectomies and other surgical procedures?
- Does the plan allow coverage for basic fertility diagnosis?
- Does the plan allow you to select an obstetrician/gynecologist
as your primary care physician?
- Does the plan include full pre/post-menopausal care including
osteoporosis diagnosis and treatment?
- Can you get a timely referral to specialists?
- Is there a cap on benefits? What are the deductibles, premiums
and co-payments?
