Cokie Roberts

One of the most well-known and well-respected journalists in America today, Cokie Roberts is the co-anchor of the ABC news program "This Week with Sam Donaldson & Cokie Roberts," and also serves as ABC's Chief Congressional Analyst. The Washington Post magazine said of Ms. Roberts, "What makes her such an authority on the strange workings of government? Well, experience, and the fact that she's a walking insider's guide to Washington."

In addition to her work on behalf of ABC News, Ms. Roberts serves as a news analyst for National Public Radio, where she was the congressional correspondent for more than 10 years. Along with her husband, Steve, Ms. Roberts writes a weekly syndicated column. Her Op-Ed pieces have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Atlantic Monthly.

Ms. Roberts is the author of the acclaimed We Are Our Mothers' Daughters, in which she shared her own stories and those of women she has come in contact with at different times and places in her life. Ms. Roberts has also added that no one influenced her life more than her mother, Lindy Boggs, former Congresswoman and current U.S. Ambassador to the Vatican. Ms. Roberts newest book, also co-authored with her husband, is From This Day Forward, a discussion of larger issues including marriage, love, and family.
