Joanna Strober headshotJoanna Strober is the founder of Midi Health, a virtual care platform for women in perimenopause and menopause. The company brings expert care, covered by insurance, to women nationwide. Prior to Midi, Joanna founded Kurbo, the first digital therapeutic for childhood obesity, which was scaled to help tens of thousands children worldwide and the company was successfully sold to Weight Watchers in 2018. Prior to diving into digital health, Joanna spent more than 20 years in direct private equity and venture capital investing in health and consumer companies including a number of notable consumer internet companies, including BlueNile, eToys, Babycenter, HotJobs and Flycast.

 

Joanna is the author of the book Getting to 50/50, a primer on how women can succeed and thrive at work and at home. She has spoken extensively to corporate and graduate school audiences on the topic of women and leadership. She was also named to the Forbes 50 over 50 list of Top Innovators in 2023.

 

Dr. Kathleen Jordan, Chief Medical Officer, Midi Health

 

Dr. Kathleen Jordan headshotKathleen Jordan, MD is an internist and Chief Medical Officer at Midi Health. She did her undergraduate work at Stanford University. She studied medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, followed by her residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, where she completed her fellowship in infectious diseases. Dr. Jordan spent decades working within the traditional healthcare system beginning with running her own private practice and serving patients in San Francisco. She served in several leadership roles within hospital systems and women’s health care where she leaned into digital health, leveraging innovative technology for systemic change to care for patients more humanely. Using digital health as a means to improve access and excellence, she was on the founding team of Midi Health where she continues to lead a team of clinicians nationally that specializes in supporting women’s physical, emotional and sexual well-being at midlife and beyond–with weight management as one of their fastest growing services. She leads the clinical team in using evidence-based strategies to support patients with healthy weight management inclusive of treating thousands of women with lifestyle, nutrition support, and sometimes, medication management inclusive of the new GLP-1 agonist medications.
