LUNCHEON KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

Rebecca Roberts

Rebecca Roberts is the host of KQED-TV's newest series, "Digital West," a weekly half-hour program covering the effects of the technology revolution on the Bay Area and beyond, which debuted on KOED Channel 9 in February, 2000. She is also the technology reporter for "The World," a daily, nationally-distributed public radio program produced jointly by Public Radio International, WGBH and the BBC. She has also served as both Regular Panelist and Guest Host of "Silicon Spin," a daily televised news Roundtable covering the high-tech industry. She was also the founding producer of "Beyond Computers," a weekly hour-long public radio show covering the relationship between new technology and society.

Previously, Ms. Roberts was a television and radio producer in Philadelphia. She also worked in front of the camera, serving as Host and Writer for "The Healthy Woman Today," a local television series covering women's health issues. Roberts holds a degree in Politics from Princeton University. She relocated to the Bay Area in 1997, and currently lives in San Francisco with her husband, Dan Hartman, Managing Director at Public Financial Management.
