Lalita Tademy is a former vice-president of Sun Microsystems who left the corporate world to write her first book, Cane River. The widely praised book is the provocative and painstaking reconstruction of Ms. Tademy's family's history, tracing four generations of women and the African American experience. Cane River spent seventeen weeks on the New York Times Bestseller list, and was selected by Oprah Winfrey for her 2001 summer book club. Ms. Tademy has a B.A. and an M.B.A. from UCLA.

Joyce Gioia, Strategic Business Futurist, is well respected for her work on the future of the workplace. Ms. Gioia's thoughts are regularly featured in The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Entrepreneur and on National Public Radio. Ms. Gioia is the co-author of the book How to Choose Your Next Employer, and author of How to Become an Employer of Choice, runner-up for the Benjamin Franklin Award for the Best Business Book of the Year.

Nikki Tesfai, Ph.D., was born a refugee in Eritrea and grew up in Ethiopia. Today, she is Executive Director and Founder of the African Community Resource Center in Los Angeles, as well as President and Founder of the International African Refugee Women's Network. Dr. Tesfai also founded Refugee Safe Haven, the first transitional shelter for refugee battered women and their children. In 1994, she received the "Refugee Woman of the Year" award from the Women's Commission on Refugee Women and Children, and most recently, Dr. Tesfai was named O Magazine's January 2002 Phenomenal Woman of the Month.

Debra Meyerson is the author of Tempered Radicals, named a top 10 book on work-life issues by the Wall Street Journal, and is visiting professor at Stanford's Graduate School of Business. Debra was named as a Bay Area's "most influential women" by the San Francisco Business Times. Her work has been featured by KQED, Harvard Business Review, New York Times, Boston Globe, San Jose Mercury, San Francisco Chronicle, Inc. Magazine, Fast Company, Business Week, Glamour, and others.

Richard A. Moran is a Partner with Accenture LLP in Change Management. He has worked in all types of organizations worldwide. Moran helps organizations implement their strategies by keeping management focused and by getting lots of help from employees. He is the coauthor of the 1993 landmark study Postcards from Employees, which captures the perceptions of more than 50,000 employees regarding their organizations and managements as well as customer service and other work-related areas. He has been featured on CNN, National Public Radio, UPI, and other media on workplace and employee issues.

Lieutenant Colonel Consuelo Castillo Kickbusch has been invited to train and consult throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Following a distinguished military career, she retired in 1996 to establish Educational Achievement Services Inc., a training/consulting firm that uses real-case studies to provide an interactive learning environment. The first woman commissioned as an ROTC officer in the state of Texas Ms. Castillo has received the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal and Army Achievement Medal.

Rosie Lee Allen began her career with KGO Newstalk AM 810 in 1983, and in 1984 began a 16-year stint as co-anchor of the KGO Afternoon News. The recipient of numerous industry awards, she received the American Women in Radio and Television's Kudo Award as "Best News Anchor" in June 2000.

Lynn Jimenez keeps listeners up-to-date on money matters every weekday morning and afternoon on KGO Newstalk AM 810. Previously, Ms. Jimenez worked as a manager of media relations for Pacific Bell in San Francisco, where she helped to develop California's first statewide Hispanic AIDS education television program and telephone hotline.

Jennifer Jones is currently the morning reporter for KGO Radio's South Bay Bureau, where she began in July 2000. She got her first radio job in Redding California after graduating from Shasta High School, and continued to work as a disc jockey, news reporter and anchor while attending California State University at Chico.

Kristen Sze is weekday co-anchor for the ABC-7 Midday News and a general assignment reporter for the station's newscasts at 5 and 6 p.m. She previously anchored the station's weekday morning show, weekend newscasts and the ABC-7 Sunday morning news. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Ms. Sze won a 1999 Emmy Award.

Thuy Vu joined ABC-7 News in 2000 as co-anchor of the station's Sunday Morning News as well as a reporter based in the South Bay Bureau. Born in Saigon, Vietnam, last year she received an award from the American Women in Radio and Television as "Best Reporter" in the Bay Area.
