2013 April Webinar - Embodied Leaders: Dealing with Pressure with ROBIN ATHEY
We all know what it’s like to embody leadership. We feel calm and centered, even when things are whirling. At the same time, we feel energized. We know the next step. Complex situations become clear. There’s an ease. Great things happen with little effort. We create rather than react.
When the heat turns up, however, we can lose our capacity to respond skillfully. We may say things we regret, make poor decisions, push others too hard or become submissive. Our minds typically understand what to do, yet we are not able to do what we understand. Moreover, over 70% of communication is non-verbal. Our mouths may say one thing while our bodies tell a different story.
This seminar will offer you simple exercises to:
- Detect some of your patterns under pressure
- Improve your effectiveness and decision making
- Manage stress and conflict with greater ease and skill
- Expand your presence, confidence and compassion
