PBWC’s Young Women’s Professional Summit convened a diverse group of community members virtually for an action-packed program on July 13, 2022.

Together, we navigated important topics like financial security and student loans, developing your own markers for adulthood, preparing for the unexpected, advocacy of self and others, and mental health and wellbeing. Our lineup of transformational speakers shared wisdom and takeaways, including:

  • “Do not expect results from work that you have not done.”—Felicia Hatcher, Chief Executive Officer of Pharrell Williams’ Black Ambition Opportunity Fund

  • “All of us should have a chance to lead this life unfettered by the biases and prejudices and opinions and expectations of others. That, we are here to figure out ourselves, and be that person whomever we are.”—Julie Lythcott-Haims, New York Times Best-Selling Author

  • “Discomfort is temporary. Having integrity and standing up for what you believe in, that’s what matters.”—Sheena Brevig Midori, Filmmaker, Relationship Coach & DEIA Workshops Director

  • “Listening really well is a great strategy. The second is being really clear about what your own needs are. Then third is knowing and communicating lovingly what our own boundaries are.”—Heather Ainsworth, CEO, Workable Concept and Advisor, AARP
