Olivia grew up in the center of a bustling food and wine culture in Houston, Texas. The daughter of two airline pilots, Olivia was blessed with opportunities to travel to some of the world’s famed wine destinations such as Bordeaux, Rioja, and the Hunter Valley. These experiences inspired her to pack her bags, head to California, and pursue her B.S. in Viticulture & Enology from UC Davis.

 

After graduating in 2013, Olivia put her knowledge to work growing and making wine in California’s Central Coast, as well as some stints in Napa and New Zealand. She is thrilled to now call Sonoma County her home, a place she finds truly unique due to the quality and diversity this renowned wine region has to offer. As Rodney Strong’s Assistant Winemaker, she works alongside our winemaking team to plan and direct operations at our state-of-the-art winery in Healdsburg, CA.

 

As a fine wine connoisseur, Olivia prefers the classic wine varietals. Most days you’ll find a cabernet in her glass when she’s not hiking, horseback riding or enjoying a little kickboxing. Olivia is delighted to be a part of Rodney Strong and finds it incredibly rewarding and fun to make one of the best varietals to distinguish different AVA’s and vineyard sites.
