As the President and Board Chair of PBWC, I am thrilled for those of you who were able to join us for this year’s annual conference, along with the other nearly 6,000 attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers and staff. I hope you were as inspired by the tremendous speaker line-up and networking as I was during our three-day virtual conference #ForGood.

The response to our conference has been tremendous! Your generous support enabled us to bring amazing talent to our audience. From humanitarians and activists to thought leaders and change makers, PBWC’s community heard inspiring and thought-provoking speakers.  Additionally, our 18 seminars provided skill-building tools and resources needed to face the challenges of today.

For me, I was not only touched by the speakers but also by the attendees’ interactions throughout the conference, including the enthusiastic non-stop live chat from around the world, the completely interactive live networking and the true support between attendees to try to help each other elevate in their personal and professional lives. As I said at the opening of the conference, “when women rise, all rise”—and watching women support women truly helps the spirit soar! I am honored to be part of an organization that is helping to make that happen.

For me, takeaways from the conference include specifics like how to lift women in the workplace and how to take better care of myself, especially during the pandemic. What are your takeaways? I invite you to write them down; keep them by your desk/bedside; remind yourself of your takeaways and goals. And, of course, follow up with those you met during the conference—although we are social distancing, the time is now to use the tools we learned to propel ourselves forward in our personal and our professional lives.
