Closing the Gender Wealth Gap: Female Financial Empowerment

Research shows that 71% of women will be solely responsible for their own finances at some point in their life, yet many women still lack financial confidence and financial education. But knowledge is power—and it is time for women to seize control of their financial well-being. Whether that means paying off debt, saving for retirement, or being more comfortable with investing your money, this event will showcase tools to take control of your finances.

LendingClub’s Emma Reilly will offer a safe space to explore your financial situation without fear or judgement and provide you with a manageable plan to help you reach your financial goals and prepare you for long-term success.

You  will:

  • Learn about the various financial and legal paperwork to have in place based on your current life and career stage
  • Gain practical tools to help you be more in control of your estate and tax planning, wealth management, budgeting, and investing
  • Understand how smarter financial planning can support your personal and retirement goals

Emma Reilly is Senior Vice President and Head of Enterprise Program Management at LendingClub and Co-Founder of Project Worth, an initiative created to have conversations with professional women about finances. She has over 20 years of Financial Services Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams at investment banking, retail banking, asset management, insurance and fintech companies. Emma joined the LendingClub in October 2018 to design and build the Technology Strategy and Execution function, and this role quickly evolved into building the ePMO function for all of LendingClub. Emma is an FCAA, fellow members of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and earned a Masters in Professional Accountancy from the University of London.
