The Legacy of Judy Gold Bloom, PBWC’s Founding President

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., January 9, 2025 –

In loving memory of Judy Bloom

Dear PBWC Community,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Judy Gold Bloom, PBWC’s Founding President. Judy was a bright, energetic, and passionate champion for women, and her contributions to our organization and its mission are immeasurable. She was 80 years old.

Judy was a dear friend and a trusted professional colleague, who supported PBWC over its 35+ years of serving women globally. Our Founder, Congresswoman (Ret.) Jackie Speier, beautifully described Judy as “the wind beneath her wings.” Post-pandemic, Judy embraced life fully, traveling the world and creating cherished memories.

In February 2024, Judy joined PBWC’s sponsors and board members for an engaging dinner conversation. She spoke with enthusiasm about her motivation to create PBWC alongside Congresswoman Speier. Her vision was clear: to create a diverse, safe space where women could come together to learn, connect, and be inspired as they entered or re-entered the workforce.

PBWC’s CEO Nicole Soluri had the opportunity to visit Judy in late December 2024. Judy was thrilled to hear about PBWC’s 2025 conference planning and encouraged PBWC’s community to never stop speaking up and never stop fighting.

Judy’s legacy is deeply woven into PBWC’s history. For the past 36 years, she has served as a wise and trusted advisor to Board Chairs and CEOs, offering her kindness, clarity, and unwavering support. Her guidance has shaped PBWC into the organization it is today.

We are deeply grateful for Judy’s life and her contributions to our community. She will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Please join us in celebrating Judy’s remarkable life and honoring her legacy.

With heartfelt condolences,
The Board of Directors and Team at PBWC
