Volunteers Needed

PBWC hosts in-person ‘Community Events’ throughout Northern California to provide our community with the opportunity to connect, learn, be inspired and gain access to tools and resources they need to navigate professional settings and build an exciting career.

At Community Events, volunteers (in partnership with PBWC staff) perform a number of tasks including critical activities such as registration table setup and acting as hosts to attendees. Attendance is of course free for the volunteers at that event.

Outline of Volunteer Responsibilities

PBWC event volunteers assist on the event day for set-up, guest assistance, registration and clean up.  Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Setting up tables or booths
  • Organizing materials
  • Moving chairs, tables, or equipment
  • Interacting with PBWC invited speakers, PBWC corporate partner staff and registered guests.

Time Commitment

Event volunteers will typically be asked to commit at least 3.5
hours, generally from 4:30-8pm PST. Volunteers are expected to arrive on-time.
