Workplace belonging is a priority for many employers and most tie their DEI efforts to designated monthly observances as a way to celebrate the diversity of their workforce. Thus, June becomes the month to celebrate LGBTQ+ employees.

 

Yet LGBTQ+ employees are Queer all year and can be included and affirmed year-round. Join us for inclusion and belonging recommendations at multiple touch points of the employee lifecycle and leave with actionable next steps. No matter where you are in your journey, there is always more we can do together!

Speaker Information

Sady Alvarado-Fischer, CDP (she/her/ella)

 

Sady is dynamic and highly sought-after, award-winning Queer, feminist Latina speaker known for her energy and passion around social justice issues. As a result of her own intersecting identities, and drive for positive change, she founded Good Trouble Consulting. She believes “we change the world, one meaningful conversation at a time,” and facilities workshops to diverse audiences on issues related to microsaggressions, privilege, racial & ethnic equity, LGBTQ+ inclusion and intersectionality. She was one of 200 women featured in the Changemakers exhibit “Rochester Women Who Changed the World,” at the Rochester Museum and Science Center (Nov 2020-May 2021). Sady is a Certified Diversity Practitioner and currently pursuing her Master’s in Leadership & Organizational Change from Nazareth College. When she is not getting into good trouble, you can find her spending quality time with her wife, Leslie, and their 3 children.
